Developer Self Registration

At Cayan, we believe that payments should be easy for our developers and merchants. We strive for our APIs to be as simple as possible for our partners to implement - we want you to get up and running and accepting payments as quickly as possible. That's why we've published our documentationcertification scripts, and best practices out in the open for all to see.

Today, we're taking that commitment one step further. Starting today, developers are able to sign up for a Cayan test account right from our developer portal. There's no need to get in touch with one of our Business Development Managers or Sales Engineers. Our goal is to get you up & processing payments in no time flat.

To get started developing for any of Cayan's APIs - GeniusTransport.WebCheckout, or MerchantWare - all you need is a web browser and an email address. Just fill out a few details about yourself, hit "submit", and you'll shortly receive your test account credentials via email. A few days later, one of Cayan's Sales Engineers will check in to make sure that your development experience is going smoothly, and if there's anything we can do to help.

Since this is a test account, you can rest assured that your credit and debit cards won't be charged. You'll have access to Cayan's Virtual Terminal and Reporting APIs. You'll be able to void and refund transactions, view the status of your batch, and do everything you could otherwise do with a live merchant account.

Today, this environment supports keyed and magnetic stripe transactions for both credit and debit cards. We'll be adding support for EMV chip cards and FSA cards over the coming weeks, and will be continuously broadening our test suite. The Resources section of our Knowledge Base has documentation on all of the different types of transactions supported by your test account. Please refer to our Knowledge Base for more information on our Test Processor and Test Card Solutions.

This feature is now available for any POS, mobile application, or eCommerce shopping cart developer out there to kick the tires. If you have any feedback or questions, please reach out to our Integrations Certification Team at <integrations AT>, and we'll be sure to get you up and running ASAP.

Thanks, and happy hacking!
