Cayan is holding a Genius in the Wild Sweepstakes for NRF Show attentees to learn more about our trusted partners. Attendees at NRF can follow the provided Genius in the Wild maps to visit our partner booths, take a picture with a Cayan Genius terminal, and share it with us on social media. Participants will be entered to win two $1,000 gift cards on American Airlines. Cayan is hosting this #GeniusInTheWild Sweepstakes (the “Event”) at the National Retail Foundation 2017 Annual Convention and EXPO (the “Convention”). By electing to participate in the Event, you are representing to Cayan that you meet all eligibility requirements and will be bound by the following terms and conditions (the “Official Rules”).

  1. NO PURCHASE OF ANY KIND IS NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT IMPROVE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. Open only to legal U.S. residents who are 18 years of age or older.
  2. ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible to participate in the Event, you must (i) be an attendee of the Convention, (ii) be a legal resident of the United States or the District of Columbia who is 18 years of age or older as of the date of Entry, and (iii) complete an Entry as described below. Employees of Cayan and its affiliates, and their immediate family members or those residing in the same household are not eligible to participate in the Event. Your eligibility is subject to applicable laws and regulations and is void where prohibited.
  3. EVENT PERIOD: The Event will be open only during the Convention. You may submit an Entry during any hour that the Convention floor is open beginning with the Convention opening on Sunday, January 15, 2017 and ending at the close of the Convention on Tuesday January, 17, 2017 (“Event Period”) in order to be entered into the random drawing. All Entries must be received prior to the close of the Convention.
  4. HOW TO ENTER: You may submit entries for a chance to win (an “Entry”) in any of the following ways: (i) post an entry on social media with a photo of a GENIUS Customer Engagement Device (“CED”) and the hashtag #GeniusInTheWild (the “Hashtag”) as further described below, (ii) stop by Cayan Booth #2779 at the Convention, or any Cayan reception or event during the Convention, and give us your business card for an Entry in the Event. Submitting an Entry during the Event Period constitutes your agreement to these Official Rules. You may enter via one or more of the methods below.
    1. Facebook Method Of Entry: During the Event Period, post on your Facebook page a picture of a CED anywhere on the Convention floor to receive one (1) Entry into the Event. For a valid Entry, your post must include a picture of the CED, include the Hashtag, and where the terminal was spotted. You must have a Facebook account to enter via Facebook. If you do not have a Facebook account, visit www.Facebook.com.
    2. Twitter Method Of Entry. During the Event Period, post to your Twitter account to receive one (1) Entry into the Event. For a valid Entry, your post must include a picture of the CED, include the Hashtag and tag @Cayan. You must have a Twitter account to enter via Twitter. If you do not have a Twitter account, visit www.Twitter.com to register for an account. Twitter accounts must be set to “public”.
    3. Instagram Method Of Entry (via your web-enabled mobile device). During the Event Period, post to your Instagram account to receive one (1) Entry into the Event. To be considered a valid Entry, the post must include a photo of the CED from anywhere on the Convention floor and include the Hashtag and tag @Cayan. You must have an Instagram account to enter via Instagram. If you do not have an Instagram account, and you would like to create one for free, download the free Instagram app to your mobile device at the Apple® App Store, the Google® Play store, or Windows® Marketplace. Instagram accounts must be set to “public”.
    4. Business Card Method of Entry. During the Event Period, stop by Cayan booth #2779 at the Convention or any Cayan reception or event and drop your business card in the Event box to receive one (1) Entry into the Event. To be a valid Entry, you must provide sufficient contact information for Cayan to reach you in the event that you are chosen as a winner. No other action is required for entry via business card.
    5. Additional Entry Conditions.
      1. Entries will not be judged and must be unique. All entries must be in English and must be posted/tweeted in accordance with the Facebook Terms of Service, Twitter Terms of Service, and/or Instagram Terms of Use (as applicable). All Entries must comply with these Official Rules and the registration instructions to be eligible. All entries must be non-professional and the sole, original work of the entrant. Entries may not have been published previously or have been submitted in any other competition. The entrant must own all rights in and to the Entry. Entries must be in keeping with Cayan’s image and may not be offensive, as determined by Cayan in its sole discretion. The Entry may not contain obscene, profane, lewd, defamatory or inappropriate images or text; and may not include nudity, acts of violence, acts that appear to cause injury or harm, or acts that are illegal or dangerous, as determined in Cayan’s sole discretion. Entries should not contain any third party materials (that you do not have the rights to use), and may not contain any materials that, violate or infringe (or may be at risk of infringing) any third party rights, including without limitation copyright, trademark rights, privacy rights (including portrayal in a false light), publicity rights, or other intellectual property rights. Cayan reserves the right to blur out any infringing material in their sole discretion. Entries should not contain personal or proprietary materials of any entity or person living or deceased. Cayan has the sole discretion to determine whether an Entry is eligible. Any Entry that violates the requirements herein or is otherwise objectionable (as determined solely by Cayan), may not be considered a valid Entry and will be disqualified. Automated, script, macro, or robotic Entries will be disqualified.
      2. Normal Internet access and usage charges imposed by entrants’ online service will apply and are entrants’ sole responsibility. If entering via a mobile device, normal phone/data and usage charges imposed by your phone service may apply. Cayan is not responsible for any compatibility issues with entrant's device/browser used for Entry. Cayan is not responsible for lost, interrupted, or unavailable network server or other connection; miscommunications; failed phone or computer or telephone transmissions; technical failure; jumbled, scrambled or misdirected transmissions; late, lost, incomplete, delayed, or misdirected Entries; or other error of any kind whether human, mechanical, or electronic. CAUTION: Any attempt to deliberately damage any web site, or undermine the legitimate operations of the Contest, is a violation of the criminal and civil laws. Should such an attempt be made, Cayan reserves the right to seek damages from any such participant to the fullest extent permitted by law and to disqualify such participant from the Contest. In the event the Contest is compromised by virus, bug, unauthorized human intervention, or other causes beyond the control of Cayan that corrupts or impairs the administration, security, fairness, or proper play of the Contest, Cayan reserves the right in its sole discretion to suspend or terminate the Contest and award prizes from among all eligible Entries received prior to cancellation. Cayan is not responsible for lost, late, misdirected, corrupted, or incomplete Entries.
      3. Entries become the property of Cayan upon receipt and will not be acknowledged or returned. Potential winners may be required to show proof of being the authorized account holder of the email address associated with the Facebook/Twitter/Instagram account associated with the Entry. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt by Cayan.
      1. PRIZES: Two (2) Winners will each receive gift cards redeemable for $2000 of airline travel itineraries sold and originating in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands on American Airlines. Additional terms and conditions for the gift vouchers can be found at https://giftcards.aa.com/terms.jsp. Prizes can only be used for qualifying airfare and may not be used for any other items, such as Admirals Club, luggage fees, or in-cabin amenities. Prizes cannot be substituted, assigned, or transferred by winner. Any expenses not specified herein are the sole responsibility of winner. Winner is solely responsible for all applicable taxes in connection with prize. All federal, state, local laws and regulations apply. Cayan reserves the right to substitute a prize of comparable value for the original prize. Prizes are not redeemable for cash. Limit one prize per person/household.
      2. DRAWING: Winners will be randomly drawn from the pool of eligible Entries on or about January 18, 2017. The potential Winners will be notified via the social platform they entered on, or by the contact information provided to Cayan. The potential Winners have 24 hours to respond to the notification message. If a winner fails to respond to the notification message within the prescribed time, the prize may be forfeited and a new winner randomly chosen from eligible Entries. The potential Winners must provide Cayan with his/her full name and mailing address, which must be in an eligible states. Acceptance of prize constitutes permission to use winner’s names, likeness, and photograph for promotional purposes without further compensation except where prohibited by law. By participating, participants agree to be bound by the decisions of the Company and these Official Rules.
      3. ODDS OF WINNING: The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible Entries received during the Event Period.
      4. INDEMNITY. Winners agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cayan and its affiliates and their officers, directors, employees, and agents against any and all liability, damages, or causes of action (however named or described), with respect to or arising out of participant’s participation in the Event or the receipt, use, or misuse of the prize.
      5. JURISDICTION: The Contest and these Official Rules shall be exclusively governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflicts of law provisions. Entrants submit to exclusive personal jurisdiction in Massachusetts and agree that any dispute shall be brought in the state and federal courts in Massachusetts.
      6. SPONSOR. The Event is sponsored and administered solely by Cayan LLC, One Federal St., 2nd Floor, Boston MA 02110. This Contest is in no way sponsored or administered by, or associated with, American Airlines®, Facebook®, Twitter®, Instagram®, the National Retail Federation, the Jacob K. Javitts Convention Center. Any personal or contact information you provide as part of the Event is given solely to Cayan and will be subject to Cayan’s privacy policy, which can be found at https://cayan.com/privacy-policy. Any third party trademarks used in these Official Rules are the property of the respective owners and Cayan do not imply an endorsement or association with such entities. Any questions or complaints regarding this Contest shall be directed to Cayan only.
