The liability shift to EMV on Oct. 1, 2015 had an impact on commerce, but it may not have led to the significant shift in payments that many expected.

Althought EMV is the standard in much of the world, the U.S. has been slow to adopt the payment type. The liability shift was supposed to change that, but a few challenges prevented a quick revolution. That said, there have been some signs that EMV is trending in the right direction.

To that end, we recently conducted a webinar in conjunction with 451 Research on the state of EMV and where it's heading. Cayan's Vice President of Product Management Marc Castrechini and 451 Research's Senior Analyst of Mobile Payments Jordan McKee discussed what's holding EMV back and why there's reason for optimism.

Watch the webinar and then tell us (on here, YouTube or Twitter!) about your experience with EMV.
